Anyone want to guess how long it'll take to get this to the US?

5 years? 10? never?

Since there's a UY one now, I'd actually say the odds have IMPROVED (even tho Ranma was more popular domestically). The reason I say that is because IF they ever release/license it UY was actually released in the US by AnimEigo, and they've proven again and again that "wide scale" popularity is not high on their criteria list. Wink

ps - no matter how that reads, I DO mean that as a compliment to AnimEigo

The manga itself is fantastic and her best work along with the Mermaid Saga. If you like the anime, you'll like the manga, though the anime had plenty of great original stories. Shame Viz never finished it, and the fansite that did is long gone.

The bits that were translated are the best bits; there's a patch around v13 or so that's rather too Ryuunosuke-centric, and manga-Ryuunosuke really doesn't come across as a compelling character, IMO.

Viz left A LOT of it unfinished. They only got a third of the way through, and stopped right as the series was hitting it's stride. I have some of the fan work. Trust me, Viz left out quite a few of the best bits. Wink Not to mention the fact that you can't even find what relatively little they did release nowadays.

In that case, you may want the french edition released by Glénat, which is complete (lousy covers, though).

And as usual, we suffer as always.
