Oh that is interesting, hoping this is the beginning of a foray into hentai anime. There is very little out over here and new anime is basically non existent which is a great shame considering how much fab stuff is out there.

And on the flip-side, Media Blasters barely exists, so working with someone is probably a good fit for both. |

They should call the new venture 'Fakku Kitty.'

Fakku seems to be looking to be the Crunchyroll of hentai. Looks like a smart business move for them.

Well this sure is interesting news. I wonder what hentai titles they are going to license and release next.
Does anyone have any favorite titles they'd like to see make a North American release? Nonetheless, this is a very good partnership. |

Oh wow, If they can realease more on Dvd than more power to them. I actually own a couple of dvd's of my favorite Hentai's. The ones I want have not been released yet so here's hoping for some more. I just wish there was more Vanilla out there, lately there has been fewer and fewer.

Media Blasters will still be releasing the physical editions of titles from Kitty Media, FAKKU will just be handing the digital distribution through streaming via their subscription service, and the option to buy digital downloads. |

Or they could have called it "Kitty Fakku", otherwise known as "A Cat Is Fine Too", further known as... well you know where this is going. |

I do wonder where will they draw the line, will they be cat fighting with crunchyroll for titles like Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia season 2 (which is soft core porn) or even titles like DxD or The Testament of Sister New Devil or The Seven Heavenly Virtues (I highly doubt crunchy paid for worldwide streaming exclusivity for past seasons).
Also, no mention if they will release censored and/or uncensored, if they will support non browser playback (smartphone and/or game systems) and if they will copy crunchies free with delay or simulcast with subscription. p.s. Also, no mention of what regions of the world they will cover, I hope the americas at least. |

The ANN article didn't use the press release, post additional info from the FAKKU site, so I'll answer what I can. For now it's just hentai/erotic titles, which are usually OVAs, and which don't have a simulcast. The service is not free, but part of the base FAKKU subscription which up til this announcement was just for manga. If people rather just purchase individual videos, they'll have that option via in DRM-free digital downloads, much like how people can purchase FAKKU books or doujinshi already. As far as I know, all streams will be fully uncensored unless there is the unfortunate case that there somehow isn't an uncensored version. And I'm not 100% certain, but the only place where FAKKU is region blocked is Japan (for uncensored reasons) so for sure, it'll be available in North America, and maybe even world wide. |

Thanks for replying /
I still wonder if sooner or later they will cover series like "Omiai Aite wa Oshiego, Tsuyoki na, Mondaiji" which afaik no other legal streamer outside japan will touch even with a 10 foot pole.
If FAKKU gets the streaming rights outside the anglosphere and is interested into expanding outside it I have two suggestions. 1) non english subtitles. Even if it is hentai people in latinamerica and other regions want to know what is happening in their hentai anime. 2) Regional pricing, crunchy, netflix, amazon prime, etc. have prices in the regional currency adjusted to the regional economies (just like steam does for videogames). |

Thanks for bringing hentai manga outside of digital in the west, but do people even care about hentai anime enough to pay for it? Most of the times it's just badly made after all...
