It looks.... ok. Not feeling the trailer? Well, Takahashi isn't credited with the story so there's that.

Well, that's a shadow drop. Kaede is still alive (somehow), Kohaku is grown up, and I assume the boy is Sango and Miroku's son. Definitely feels like Inuyasha

I was gonna say Shippo had a kid, then I looked and said, "Wait, that's a tanuki."

Could be possible? I don't remember any tanuki except that one that they flew on a few times, so maybe it's his daughter?

It's nice to see the actual animation - I know there was a trailer earlier with some shots, but they were so slowed down and jagged, it didn't really show off much - and nice to hear the voices too. Looking forward to seeing this eventually!

Weird that Viz didn't mention the date...makes me assume they'll be a few days slow.

In the visual, we don't see Kagome, Sango and Rin. The trailer didn't have Rin either, and they appeared to have re-used footage for Kagome and Sango.

This is likely to be an important plot point. This can't mean....they are dead.....right?

We get to see Inuyasha and Sesshomaru but not Kagome and Rin. That means they are spoiler[really dead.] What a letdown if it's true.

They don't appear in trailer because they are spoiler[dead. If it's true, it would be the biggest dead mom/alive dad cliches since One Piece and Evangelion.] Just shows that fathers are relevant while mothers are so irrelevant. Sad.

It's going to be interesting on how the English dub will be handled and I wouldn't be surprised if Viz Media will be using Ocean Group again for Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, for consistency sake of the original series as it was dubbed in Vancouver, Canada.

However, If I'm being honest with most of you, Viz hasn't been using Vancouver for their anime dubs since 2012/2013 after the release of the English dub of Inuyasha: The Final Act 7-8 years ago, as the majority of the more recent anime titles they licensed are now dubbed in Los Angeles these days either through Studiopolis or especially Bang Zoom!

On top of that, the only things Vancouver has done lately are Kiznaiver and a bunch of kids shows, so pretty much it's possible this series might be dubbed in Los Angeles given that the majority of the Anime companies in the Los Angeles area (Viz, Crunchyroll, Netflix, Aniplex) are now having their licensed anime dubbed in LA either through Studiopolis or Bang Zoom.

Looks to be a solid cast, looking forward for info regarding what happened for the parents, and especially Shippo! Feels like no one talks about him.

Also really hoping Viz gets the old cast back!

I can't believe they are gonna use that useless extra chapter Takahashi drew once where they slay that tree thing.
