It's Spin Master, not Spin Team.

From the footage shown, the game looks bad. Notably worse than the tie-ins made for the original Bakugan. This is a $70 game in Canada and from what I can tell, it doesn't even have voice acting.

Haven't watched the new anime yet, I hope if it really comes to netflix they will finally be a subbed version because that's what I wanna see, so I might be wrong;
But the game looks nothing like bakugan, the monsters feels too "real'/Pokemon-like, it's missing the old mechanical feeling of the figures, and where are the cards, are there no cards anymore in the new season ?
I really hope it's only because of the sneak peek and the final game will be good but as a fan of the old series, I feel like this doesn't really look good and I'll probably be back to the ds/psp games

The game is based on the new series, so there are no cards. The 3D models used came directly from the animation studio, so they are as close to what appears in the show as possible. We made the game with fans of the new show and current TCG in mind. We're happy many fans still have love for the old series, but this game is aimed at the new fans. We hope our veteran fans will give it a shot as well, though.

First of all, thanks for the awnser, i'll still check it out when it comes, I was just surprised coming from the old games and anime
I'm surprised there's no more card, I did bought one of the new bakugan set not too long ago and there were the new magnetic hexagonal thingy so I thought they were adding that to the card system. So I'm kind of wondering if there's still gonna be a battle for positionning the bakugan or no more of that ?
As for the model, it was just my "first" impression with the new designs, it's probably just that I'm not used to them as I haven't got to watch the new anime, but glad to know the models are from the animation studio directly that's a good news to get as close as possible to the anime.

While still skeptical about the game, I can't wait to check this game out as an old time fan and I really hope I'll be pleasantly surprised with the new battle system

Also since you're working on the game I have a little question if you can awnser, is there any chance of getting both the english and japanese voices ? I know there's people that'd love to get both of the voice like me as english wasn't the language I watched bakugan into but also that it may be hard to do with all the licencing to get the voices ?

Let me check on the language issue. I'm not sure if all the language files are included in all regions.

Ok, so I just asked WayForward and they confirmed that all the languages options are included (in the NA version, at least) so if you set your Switch to Japanese, the Japanese version of the game will launch.

So there is voice acting in the game, Rick? The demo showcased back in the summer didn't seem to have any and none of the previews mention it. The only comment I've read on that was from Drago's voice actor, who said none of the English cast were contacted to record for the game.

Both Battle Planet and the first half of Armored Alliance are dub-only on Netflix.

The new anime is more of a monster battling show than a direct TCG commercial. The toys have been divided into two games: a basic one that just uses the figurines and the magnetic hexagonal cores, as well as a more advanced one that combines it with cards, aimed at older audiences. The show and this game are more in line with presenting the basic version.

We decided to tell a different, stand-alone story in the game. So while the Awesome Brawlers show up, they aren't the main characters (your character, along with two new characters as your pals are the central trio). Since the Awesome Brawlers aren't the focus of the story, it didn't make sense to bring the voice actors in for just a few lines, so we decided to go with no voice acting. It's all subtitles, though all the text can be switched to any supported language.

Hey Rick! (Myles here) Thanks for taking the time to look at what I had to say about your project. It's evident to me that a lot of effort is going into this project, and now that I have my hands on the actual product, my suspicions are only being verified. Currently looking into setting up some interviews, so you may hear from me in the coming weeks Wink
