If I was an anime studio or distributor I wouldnt even consider submitting anymore given how many snubs there have been.

If I were an anime studio or distributor, I wouldn't give a @#*$ about the Oscars, period.

Seconded on ANN needing to fix the years mentioned in the article (Oscar next year would be 2022, not 2021 again, unless we want to live through 2021 again).

Its not liek they mean anything but braggign rights for the people involved.

I've seen animated films better than half the nominations +.

Does it really matter if an anime gets an Oscar or not?
I mean, Oscars were created to reward murican movies. Which is still the case.
So even if an anime is nominated, the winner will be a murican movie.

You think I give a damn about a Grammy?
Half of you critics can't even stomach me, let alone stand me
"But Anime, what if you win, wouldn't it be weird?"
Why, so you guys could just lie to get me here?
