I have the original Educomics version of I Saw It!; bought it back in 1986. It, like Barefoot Gen, is a harrowing account of the US atomic bombing of Hiroshima, even more so considering it's entirely autobiographical.

After we moved to Kentucky near the end of 1986, my little sister (who was entering high school at the time) borrowed the manga for one of her teachers, and the teacher ended up holding onto it till I recall the end of the school year...she had been using it for her classes.

35 years and I still have my copy. Well-recommended.
