TPC missed an opportunity to make Iono a Vtuber, because she acts and introduces herself like a Vtuber, I wouldn't mind some official Pokegirl ASMR.

I am like 99.9% Sure its Fairouz Ai. The energy she is using for Iono is really similar to Hibiki from Dumbbell and Cure Summer in Tropical Rouge Precure.

Not really into / familiar with Vtubers, but she seems lovely.

I think Lono might be Penny since she also has two-tone hair (that matches plus and minus colors) and she is shy and stays at home a lot. A perfect cover for a V-Tuber

Without hesitation my number 1 from this generation so far !
I can't think of any Electric type Pokemon that match perfectly the hints so my guess is for a Terralize or a new Electric Type which have yet to be announced.

I wonder if other Gym Leaders will get similar introduction videos?

Also I'm kind of surprised this had actual voice acting. I mean, it's probably just for the video but it feels like they're building up to a Pokemon game with actual voice acting every year.

There's lots of non-virtual streamer idols like this in Japan so it's probably based more on that trend than Vtubing.

I'm a bit surprised they aired it with Japanese voices even in the English version rather than dubbing it.

I had a theory that we would be trying to do something to help Penny and Iono connect through Pokemon because Penny quietly idolizes Iono for being all bubbly and outgoing which is something she isn't, as all cliched as that sounds, but this makes SO much more sense and I like it more.

... I'd like it a bit better than the other idea I had, which was Penny being centralized to the Starfall Street story as Team Star's leader or the leader's sister or something. Because that is also cliched as all get out.
