I made my account in 2009, and I normally don't make accounts on things for a while. So my best bet is 2008. Good thing it says 2008-2009 anyways though lol.

I was worried about figuring out what year I started reading too, since I only know when my forum account here was made; fortunately the "before 2005" option had me covered :)
By the way, is the "results" page I got after completing the survey supposed to show my own answers, or does it show the same thing for everyone? Two of the answers matched mine, but the last one was different (showing 2005-7 instead of pre-2005) and I'm wondering if I clicked the wrong bubble by mistake. |

Hovering over the bars shows it's only counting one ballot for me(one which matches nothing I entered). And here I thought it was just proof of me being second.

No matter what gender I choose, according to the poll I'm always female, whereas I'm quite sure I'm male...

I probably started reading ANN in 2002; I've been around for a while, although there was a period between 2005 and 2011 when I barely paid any attention to it (or anime et al).
I arbitrarily declare today to be my ten-year anniversary. So... cake?
I think that it might display the results of a 25-29 year old female who started reading ANN between 2005 and 2007 by default. |

Read a few articles on ANN in 2009 though. Didn't actually start coming once a week until 2010 though. Shortly registered after. |

In a weird twist, though my forum account goes back to 2007, I'm pretty sure I didn't start actively reading ANN until over a year later. The account was created to post thoughts on this article, which I followed from somewhere else.

I've been reading Anime News Network since you posted the article about Bandai starting to sell anime in North America through Anime Village, which was, if I remember correctly, June or July of 1998 and probably the first article ever posted.
I also remember this site being dormant for weeks if not months circa 2000 and wondering if this site would ever come back to life. |

Hmm... I've been reading articles on the ANN website for quite a while, but I don't remember just when I started. ^^;

I have no idea how long I read the site before I registered so I am glad the longest option is just "before 2005".
