If it puts some extra jingle in the pockets of the folks living there, then it's all good. Laughing

In the communities I'm in, it's pretty much the most popular currently airing anime. We all love it. So from my perspective, it's doing pretty well. Unless you mean Japan TV ratings..then I have no clue

Knowing this I wonder if the home address given in this week's episode actually leads anywhere.

No not Japan, I meant the western audience. Sure so far anyone who were exposed to the anime mostly speak positively of it but still the reception is far too small. I have a hard time believing this is the most popular one when everywhere I go, every critics are gushing about how awesome Space Dandy is, even Noragami have probably more viewers.

Well I guess I'm sorta disappointed, once it ends, it ends fading into obscurity. I can't be too optimistic about how it will fare in Japan. I know Yuruyuri and Love Lab were fairly popular but this anime feels like altogether a different beast not to mention mostly new seiyuu in character roles. Hopefully this particular news increases the viewership even more.

In response to that I agree that this is an under-watched series - but a lot of good series are under-watched *shrug*. It was never going to have the appeal of something like Noragami and Space Dandy is only popular in the western world - the Japanese market doesn't care for it.

A show like this is more likely to be popular in Japan than the western market tbh - since it has a large helping of cute backed up by interesting characters and an actual plot. This anime was never going to get critical acclaim because it's amazing really - it's just a good series.

Though personally I dislike Space Dandy and am a bit miffed that Bones are changing Noragami when the manga's story is already good. The anime I look forward to of a week is Silver spoon's second season right now -.-

Yep, Koriyama is on the Tōhoku Shinkansen line for easy access by anime fans from Tokyo, though I believe you can't ride the fastest trains on the line since they all pass Koriyama Station. The Yamabiko train does stop there from Tokyo, though.
