Given how many literary awards Japan has, "award winning prose" doesn't narrow it down much, though it probably indicates an adult novel and not an LN.

Sadly they've published one of Yusuke Kishi's novels, so we can eliminate Shin Sekai Yori.

Even though it's probably some Akutagawa winning book (which isn't a bad thing), I hope they might surprise us with the Moretsu Pirates novels.

That was my first reaction too... that's disappointing, but at least they are still acquiring new licenses so maybe its time will come.

Moretsu Pirates would also be a fine pick, not sure who feasible that would be though.

Is it yet futile to wish for Durarara or Baccano?

Haha, my sentiments exactly. This is what I requested, but I know the length of both series have been a turn off for at least one company. Shin Sekai Yori would also have been nice since I liked the way Vertical handled the Ring series of novels. I wouldn't mind something that hasn't been adapted into a manga/anime yet as well.
