The English dub is strong, aside from style decisions for one or two characters that make you pine for the missing Japanese language option.

I'm certain that it's been said that the Japanese audio is going to be released as a free DLC patch, similar to Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z or Hyperdimension Neptunia: Re;Birth 3.

yeah, it better. The last two games had a Japanese language option so I have no idea why they would leave it out this time.
It doesn't bother me so much because I already own the Japanese game, but I know I'm not the only one who couldn't stand the English voices in this series.

I have to disagree that the game is too easy action-wise. It has multiple difficulty levels, after all, and it encourages you to score high to unlock different ridiculous dialog with Togami when Touko's fantasy version of him evaluates your performance in each level. Maybe I'm just comically bad at shooting games but I found it a challenge to get a perfect score on even the lowest difficulty setting.

I also don't really think it should be critiqued for not having as good puzzle-solving as the first two games, because DRAE was specifically made as an action game - it's intended to be different. I personally think having too many challenging puzzles would clash with the action component, although I agree some were hilariously simple.

I also found the action component actually pretty fun, my only main complaint is that the camera can be really annoying to control.

Have to say that I enjoyed the story in this game. DR was ways a franchise with extremely dark elements, but it was nice to see that they didn't sugar coat anything here and did more than just imply the tragic circumstances of both the world and our characters.

The Warriors of Hope in particular are one of the more interesting cases of "Abused Children" I've seen in a while. Can't wait to own the game so I can get a more in depth feel of the sorry past fan translations and subbed playthroughs.

Personally, based on. A playthrough I've seen I'm fine with the English VAs in this game. Cherami in particular does a great job as Komaru. And the DR1 VAs have improved since the first game's release. Really the only complaint would be Michelle Ruff as Jotaru Kemuri. Michelle is a fantastic VA and she acted out Kemuri and his awkwardly social personality rather well....Maybe too well. If a kid talked like that non-stop, I wouldn't want to be his friend either.
