Bombing a shrine how disrespectful. Man what's wrong with the world these days. Sad

That shrine houses some of the worst evil who ever lived on the planet, tyrants on a level worse than ISIS. It still doesn't deserved to be attacked as it's history.

Requiring bag checks and prohibiting dangerous unnecessary items in a super-crowded space should be the minimum level of safety for an event like this. I'm surprised there wasn't already.

Then again, the Comic-Cons are really lax about security, and no one seems to care.

Japan's getting a bit worried I guess, but I don't see why Japan would be attacked. Japan is 99% ethnically Japanese.

Japan has been targeted by terrorists before though. To some of these extremists, not following their branch of Islam is enough to make a people a target. The idea behind these attacks is to get attention and cause people to fear them, which is why France has been a frequent target lately: Because the people of France didn't pay the terrorist organizations much attention until now.
