Offbeat Idol Group LADY BABY Rocks Out in 'Nippon Manju' MV

LADY BABY is a recently formed idol group starring the cross-dressing and heavy metal screaming Lady Beard and Miss iD finalists Rie Kaneko and Rei Kuromiya. The trio (and sometimes quartet) recently released their first music video for "Nippon Manju," a song all about the great things Japan has to offer — especially manju.
The video also debuts Maru-sama, the winner from the recent member call for a small dog.
LADY BABY is the creation of clearstone, a costume-maker, and Tsukasa Kobayashi, the sponsor of this year's Miss iD, an audition to discover and mold a new type of girl. Its concept is "a new sense of entertainment group that transcends nationality, generation, gender, and all borders, and inherits, destroys, and reshapes all cultures."
The "Nippon Manju" single goes on sale on July 29.
