Final Fantasy XIV's Nidhogg Comes to Life at Sapporo Snow Festival
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The Final Fantasy snow sculpture in Sapporo transformed into a spectacular light show this week. The Final Fantasy XIV sculpture is titled "Shirogane no Kessen" (The Silver Decisive Battle) and depicts the face-off between the Fell Worm Nidhogg and Azure Dragoon Estinien Wyrmblood. In the evening, the static battle depicted in snow came to life.

The snow sculpture utilizes projection mapping, like the previous Final Fantasy 30th anniversary show in Yokohama.
This year is offering an array of sculptures. Hatsune Miku and her sidekick bunny Yukine will be present, of course, and the duo is joined by the characters from the hit anime series Kemono Friends. The festival is also hosting sculptures of the characters from the upcoming television anime Golden Kamuy.
Miku herself is waiting at several locations to go on a special AR date with festival visitors.
