'Japanese', 'Hentai' Top Pornhub Searches Worldwide (NSFW)

Pornhub Insights posted data for the site's most searched for terms in 2019. "Japanese" topped the list, followed by "hentai" (a term for Japanese animated pornography, lit. "pervert"). "Japanese" was previously ranked 5th last year, while "hentai" remained at number 2.

Traffic to the site from Japan has increased in the last year, which has played a role in the popularity of "Japanese" as a search term. Japan was the country with the second highest traffic in 2019, beaten only by the United States. Japan was ranked 4th last year. "Japanese" is a popular search term throughout most of east and southeast Asia. "Korean" and "Japanese" were the most popular search terms on Pornhub Gay. "Japanese" is also a popular term with 18-24 year olds in particular, replacing "Hentai" as the category most often viewed by visitors in that age group in 2019.
