Namco Bandai Games opened a website on Tuesday to announce a PlayStation Vita game based on the M3 The Dark Metal television anime. The game, titled M3 The Dark Metal Mission Memento Mori, will be an action adventure game with a story that changes depending on which of the eight main characters the player chooses at the beginning of each chapter.
The game is slated to ship in Japan on November 20.
The M3 The Dark Metal anime premiered in late April. Media distribution service and retailer Daisuki is streaming the television anime series as it airs in Japan.
The ensemble drama story follows four boys and four girls, team Gargouille's exploration of a mysterious space called the Avidya Domain in the science-fiction setting of near-future Tokyo.
Junichi Sato (Sailor Moon, Kaleido Star, Aria franchise) directs the project at the studio Satelight (Macross Frontier, Bodacious Space Pirates), and Mari Okada (anohana, Nagi no Asukara) is in charge of the scripts. Shoji Kawamori (Macross franchise, Cyber Formula franchise) works on the mecha designs.
A manga adaptation premiered in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade on April 30.
