Hetalia ~Singin' in the World~ Stage Musical Unveils Cast

The official website of the Hetalia ~Singin' in the World~ stage musical adaptation of Hidekaz Himaruya's Hetalia - Axis Powers manga revealed the musical's cast on Friday.
The cast includes:
Ryōki Nagae (Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Satomi Hakkenden) as Italy
Yūichirō Ōmi (D-BOYS) as Germany
Keisuke Ueda (Yowamushi Pedal) as Japan
Ryūko Isogai as America
Daisuke Hirose as England
Juri Aikawa as France
Yūki Yamaoki as Russia
Taishi Sugie as China
Takuya Kikuchi as Austria
The Hetalia ~Singin' in the World~ musical will run at the Zepp Blue Theater Roppongi from December 24 to December 29.
Yūsei Naruse (Yowamushi Pedal, Diabolik Lovers stage plays) is writing the script for the musical, and Kōtarō Yoshitani (Sengoku Musou, Amnesia, Bakumatsu Rock stage plays, Alice in the Country of Hearts musical, La Corda d'Oro Blue Sky musical) is directing. Animate and the cast members' fan clubs will begin selling advance tickets for the musical on October 8, while general ticket sales will begin on November 8. Tickets will cost 7,900 yen (about US$65).
Himaruya's original manga takes the archetypal characteristics of countries and regions throughout the world, and anthropomorphizes them as (mostly) bishōnen characters. Right Stuf has been releasing the manga in North America in collaboration with its former English-language publisher, Tokyopop, and its Japanese publisher Gentosha Comics.
Hetalia The World Twinkle, the sixth anime season inspired by Himaruya's manga, premiered in Japan in July. Funimation streamed the series as it aired.
The previous anime season, Hetalia The Beautiful World, premiered in Japan in January 2013. Funimation has released all the previous anime seasons and the Hetalia Axis Powers: Paint it, White! film in North America.
