Monkey Peak Manga Gets Anime on Anime Beans App

The staff of Production I.G's Anime Beans app revealed on Tuesday that Kōji Shinasaka and Akihiro Kumeta's Monkey Peak manga will get an anime adaptation that will premiere on the app on Friday, October 26.
The manga centers on a group of pharmaceutical company employees who embark on a mountain-climbing trip together and who encounter tragedy at the hands of mysterious monkeys when they reach the top.
The anime's cast includes (Note: Character name romanizations are not official.):

- Takuma Terashima as Miyata
- Nobuaki Kanemitsu as Anzai
- Mitsuhiro Sakamaki as Tomihisa
- Ayumi Orii as Satō
- Kouzou Douzaka as Okajima
- Reina Aoyama as Fujishiba
- Sōshirō Hori as Minami
- Kazuya Saji as Himuro
- Yūki Yonai as Iizuka
- Saki Yamakita as Hayashi
- Airu Nekoshima as Tōno
Tomovies is animating the show.
Shinsaka and Kumeta launched the manga in Nihonbungeisha's Weekly Manga Goraku magazine in September 2016. Nihonbungeisha published the manga's seventh compiled book volume on July 27, and will ship the eighth volume on November 9. Shinsaka writes the manga while Kumeta draws the art.
Production I.G launched the Tate Anime app in June 2017 and it ended service on May 31. The app offered short (about three-minute) anime that update on weekdays, and each series had 10 episodes. The anime was presented vertically for smartphones. Production I.G rebranded the app as Anime Beans in June, and it no longer features exclusively vertical anime.
