World Cosplay Summit Panel to be Featured at Moshi Moshi Nippon Festival 2015 in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA. (July 27th, 2015) - Moshi Moshi Nippon Festival 2015 in Los Angeles announces a special panel event on Sunday, August 2nd. Join World Cosplay Summit U.S. alumnae for an in-depth discussion of all things WCS! They'll cover the history of the event, and its growth over the years. Find out who's eligible to compete, what it takes to participate, and how the winning team is chosen. Discover what it's like to go to Japan and compete in international cosplay, straight from the source! US Team members will join us to share their experiences, talk about lasting friendships forged over cosplay, and to explain what the World Cosplay Summit has meant to them. A meet-and-greet and open Q&A session will follow.
The WCS Panel features Lynleigh Sato (Team USA 2005) and Alexandra Weber (Team USA 2011), and will be hosted by Diana Tolin (Bejitaballz Cosplay), a three-time WCS finalist, cosplay judge, and 2013 manager.
The World Cosplay Summit Experience will be held in the Cloud Room at Magic Box from 2 -3 PM, followed by a cosplay gathering from 3 – 4:30 PM featuring a Chambala competition, DJs, and an opportunity to win special prizes! The Chambala event will administered by a 4th Dan instructor from Nihon Tai-jitsu. Chambala participants may register at the POPJNEO booth.
The first Moshi Moshi Nippon festival in Los Angeles will feature LIVE DAM Karaoke, fashion brands Pure, Aymmy in the batty girls, jouetie and others, with booths on site to showcase Japan's booming fashion and J-pop culture. The MOSHI MOSHI NIPPON booth will be offering products from MOSHI MOSHI BOX in Harajuku, including MOSHI MOSHI original products as well a selection of the most popular goods, including the popular, quirky “sushi socks”.
