Then you won't like my opinion on the matter. To me, anyone caught with child pornography, creates it, or distributes it deserves nothing short of a trip to a wood chipper with the dullest blades possible. These things can get access to drawings, computer images, statues, etc, none of which harms a real child, but when that's not enough and they cross the line... ... the death penalty should be their punishment. Zero tolerance. No second chance. |

And not only your give them sub/option, you remind them and stress it out. A friendly reminder from one of the popular "substitution" materials: 『 YES ロリータ NO タッチ 』 |

@TitanXL:
The sick scum who take the videos and pictures and then upload them to the internet are obviously doing so because they want other people to see these pictures. If there's no audience then there's no reason to upload. You're right in that if nobody shared pictures children will still be abused anyway; I never said they wouldn't be. But the pictures themselves are further abuse on top of that which the children have already suffered. Once something is on the internet it is almost impossible to erase, so children are going to have disgusting images of themselves on the internet and people's hard-drives forever. |

You ARE technically downloading since streaming also downloads metadata and stays on your computer harddrive after watching. You can still be prosecuted under full extent because of this. Here's a better rule of thumb. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT branch out beyond PPV pr0n and get into ultra-niche gray-area fap material (anime/manga included) if you: 1. if you lack intermediate computers skills, lack elementary security skills, and do not possess "hacker" and "always in crisis mode 24-7" mentality. 2. if you have faulty BS-detector. 3. if you demonstrate lapse(s) in common sense. |

Needs to go to a wood chipper just for having images/videos of real CP,
yeah, that's way too harsh. I never see any comments about a terrorist or a corrupt politician deserving such a punishment but when it involves just having IMAGES of real CP, sometimes loli images, even if he hasn't done anything except own the damn items he still deserves a rod from satan. |

I guess a lot of Japanese men who made/transported/consumed readily available no-holds-barred 3D loli material that sprang up in Japan in the 80s and peak until '99 and early 2000s (U.S. pressure put a stop to it in the early '00s) should've been concentrated ghetto-style and employed "Final Solution" measures then Seriously though, the above situation was so real, it's unreal. No wonder japs is synonymous with pervs in some corners of the world. Also, there are times when NPA (jap police) are too lenient in matters relating to sex crimes (compared to U.S.A.) and heavy/underhanded on minor things like rec-drugs. |

I keep being bothered by this stupid dichotomy:
If you posses images of a real person raping a real child, punish the bastards. But if you posses drawings of a person raping a child, do not worry. That behavior is absolutely harmless. I wonder what would happen if I wanted to get a job at an elementary school and mentioned in my job interview that I collected drawings of grownups sexually molesting children. I guess I will be fine because drawings/animated images of such heinous acts ARE NOT REAL. |

You do realize that with all the things being labeled as CP these days that that would amount to a rather large amount of the population being put through the grinder right? Lest we forget, having something on your computer doesn't even mean you were actively looking for it. Just look at the whole fiasco with Facebook where people were reposting a video of CP because people thought it was an "awareness" video. Then people can post it on rather innocuous sites and of course the pictures will be put into your cache, this being on your computer. Now ignoring those two examples, there are also cases where people have been tried for having CP for taking pictures of themselves. Then, in the good ol' US of A our laws go as far as to say even if they have clothes on it can be considered Child Pornography. Now, that last one seems a bit ridiculous to me considering we have stuff such as Toddlers and Tiaras on the air. Until we know the facts of the case, don't go demanding that "every" person with CP needs to be thrown under a bus because for all you know you may very well be included due to the overbroadness of laws these days. Now, having said all of that if he does have actual photos of actual children in the nude being abused (because technically speaking nudity =! obscenity thus =! CP) THEN you can throw this guy under the bus, but until then hold back your torches and pitchforks for a bit and actually get some more info before coming to a rash judgment. |

Considering that sexual proclivities would be an inappropriate area of discussion in virtually any job interview, regardless of what they are, I'd say that your example is absurd. |

Yes they are. Lolis are the visual, and with a good actress, audio representation of a child. CP photographs and videos and soundbites and examples of literature are ALSO the representation of a child. A lot of people may be 2D>3D, but there are a LOT of reasons that they shy away from real human sexual interaction. You can't use this. I didn't say it worked one way but not the other. It works both ways. Whether it's the artfully created/thought out representation of a child or a goddamn photograph of a child it's still a representation of a child. And it's covered in the example anyway. I left that in. On a tangent, Loli>CP for human rights' sake. |

Oh yeah? What makes YOUR deviant behavior more justified than OURS, [insult removed]? [Mod Edit: The little tidbit there at the end is out of line and unnecessary. Disagree with him all you want, but keep it respectful. - Keonyn] |

I've said it once & I'll say it again.
Anime & manga is NOT child pornography. There's a huge difference between someone filming/photographing the sexual abuse of a real-life child & someone drawing something from their imagination on a piece of paper. Don't pay any attention to all the ridiculous right-wing propaganda against anime & manga. As said by the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, "Manga Is Not A Crime." |
