I'm wondering if they've tried to go to Netflix to get it made. I'm almost certain they'd get this greenlit.

I thought that too. Maybe Netflix or Koji Yamamoto (the guy behind Twin engine, who announced a batch of extremely promising series a few days ago) could do the trick... who knows
... Oh, and whoever said that Konaka is only known in the west for Digimon is sorely mistaken. I (and I'm pretty sure whoever has watched and enjoyed series like Lain or Texhnolyze) am not going to forget the combo Abe/Konaka any time soon, that's for sure.

If the problem is money, just ask Toonami for 30 million dollars.

so i still remember the outrage when gonzo went bankrupt and when i suggested at the time that it may be a sign of things to come and that as a whole it may be unavoidable and perhaps not necessarily negative in the grand scheme of things as such things usually go with a grand structural change. i still remember the "how dare you"s, wonder if these people are still around ann to recall it.

Konaka plainly stated in the article out that the problem is not funds.

Yeah - Netflix and the success of Devilman Crybaby (and the fact that they brought Genius Party out to the west) has shown that they are willing to take chance on works that wouldn't fit into any of the normal commercial avenues. I think this would fit in perfectly with that.

Dammit, now I'm depressed. |
There should be a club for this somewhere.
