Certainly doesn't look like anything about the series can be described as anime.
Besides, nothing will ever compare to the awesomeness that was Batman: The Animated Series

Agreed.
At least with 'The Animatrix,' Warner Bros.' American writers and producers were willing to allow the Japanese anime studios significant input.
I don't get the sense that will happen at all this time.

Plus he works with many artists and so there isn't really any one style for the comics/graphic novels/whatever you want to call them that he does.
But I get what you mean all the same. |
LOL Neil Gaiman does ?art?. Goes to show that some people like to pull big comic writer out of their ass and don't really know what they're talking about. Heck, even Gaiman team up with famous japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano for the Sandman Dream Hunter, he's not bias to one style for his work.

The Batman cartoon of the 90s is pretty good. I'm looking forward to seeing these new shorts.

Marvel's? I think you mean DC's ... and DC is under the same corporate ownership as Warner Bros.

There are some characters from Marvel that seem to resemble or be a knock-off of Batman. Now actually, Batman is from DC. That is the Batman many people knows.
Seeing how Batman will be handled as a Japanese cartoon will be interesting.

You think the Batman anime will look killer? I can imagine but I'm not expecting too much.
