I'm excited about Clamp. I'm hoping against hope that it's a RG Veda adaption considering there's not just one but two figures for it announced for that series.
But since that's unlikely, I'll just wait and see. |

Netflix loves them some giant robots though. Seriously, Sidonia, Kuromukuro, the license for a lot of Gundam shows, Last Hope, etc. Not to mention Rayearth hits a bunch of stereotypically “anime” genres and that sells well here.
I’m 75% sure it will be an original project though. |

Those shows were generally aimed at at an older male seinen audience though while MKR is a magical girl series with mecha elements in it aimed at that young girls shojo Sailor Moon audience. I don't know how big of a hit Little Witch Academia was for Netflix but Glitter Force was a bust for them. I would very much love to see an MKR reboot at some point though.

LWA did pretty well for them IIRC. I’m mostly joking about the fact that for a service that seems to push, I guess, stereotypical anime (basically genres that fit what your average Westerner thinks of when they hear the word) and Rayearth is equal parts mecha anime, isekai, and magical girl show, it would be a perfect fit for that.
All semantics mind you. I like Rayearth, so maybe I’m just biased. I wonder what new production they have in mind. |

Saban left it to Toei after the first couple seasons https://tokusatsunetwork.com/2017/05/saban-brands-gives-glitter-force-trademark-toei-animation/ Then Toei handed it to Hasbro animenewsnetwork.com/news/2018-06-21/glitter-force-brand-rights-move-to-hasbro/.133174 |
