I've been looking up DBZ hentai since the early 2000's and I came out fine. Funny how he doesn't mention Dragon Ball, but instead Z. Shows he ain't watch the series.

"They are now introducing a great deal of anime porn into the internet matrix."
Oh, Miller...the anime porn's been here since the beginning. Any kid in 1999 who accidentally typed "Dragon Ball X" instead of "Z" could tell you that.

Dragon Ball being considered porn? Blasphemy
Miller clearly has an ego the size of the Empire State Building, his second point begging for endorsement says it all. And though he's a dirty old man, Master Roshi clearly would be a better politician than him.

American Politics has been a mess since at least the 93 midterms.

Lot of people clowning on the senator (as they rightfully should) but there's a much bigger problem here. Lawmakers are starting to find out about anime porn/erotica. Anime has a big problem with the sexualization of minors in anime and in hentai (especially in doujins). Whether or not you think that is an actual problem that needs laws to be passed is another topic, but all it takes is some lawmakers to find out what's on Fakku or Exhentai for them to realize there is drawn child pornagraphy out there. They could easily ban it and lead to a crackdown on anime in general and we will be powerless to stop it as any criticism of the law could be thrown back at you as supporting child porn or being a pedophile. The legality around this stuff has not been seriously tested yet and with the vague obscenity laws we could see a serious violation of the 1st amendment and art cause slapping a "everyone in this hentai is the age of consent" disclaimer is not gonna hold up against a jury. We all joke about this guy not understanding what he is talking about but him actually doing the research and knowing full well about the topic would be terrifying for anime in america.

To be fair, DBZ does have some erotic content, particularly in regards to Master Roshi. But it's pretty small fry compared to most of other anime they could target.
That said, I'm with Patrick Jones in regards to not really wanting this dude to learn about the actually properly sexual anime out there.
We've already got some people in Australia trying to crack down on sexual content in anime. They're not having much impact here, but I imagine America could be a bit different as it's a bit more puritan than Australia.

Besides, this stuff is literately over 20 years old and censorship has changed since then, where some of the old material is not allowed to air in Japan anymore for the anime designated for television. Even Dragon Ball Z Kai was no exception to this with toning down some of the violence and even removing the scene of Gohan's genitals after his Great Ape transformation.
Even the scenes that were used in the final episode of the original Sailor Moon anime, is something that would be no longer allowed to air in Japan, even if it was mannequin-style nudity to avoid anything too realistic.

It can only be said that in some episodes of Dragon Ball Z there are several violent scenes, with violent duels in the style of 80s Chinese martial arts films.
If he had referred to the violence of some episodes, he could also have been right.
In fact many anime Japanese, especially those of fighting, have quite violent content in some episodes.

IIRC I remember schools and libraries in the past have pulled the Dragonball manga because they labeled it as child pornography given the content in it, so it's not like there isn't precedence for this mindset Obviously there's more explicit anime out there, but Dragonball is the most mainstream one in America so the normies will focus on that more than anything else.

So a lot of people asking how he came to the idea that DBZ was the biggest anime porn problem. ...
I have a speculative idea on that.
Someone convinced Candidate Miller that anime was a porn problem. They showed him some anime porn on the internet, probably something he found obscene. They didn't bother to make it clear to him that anime includes a wide variety of content that is not porn, much of which is very family / kid friendly. Perhaps they omitted this information by accident, or perhaps they misled him.
Then, under the assumption that anime was all porn, he just asked someone "what the most popular anime," and they answered "Dragon Ball Z."
Second speculative idea:
He got trolled. Someone set him up for the lols. Convinced him that anime was all porn, showed him a bunch of pornographic anime and anime-style drawings on the internet, and then told him that the biggest anime was Dragon Ball Z. Intentionally leading him to believe that Dragon Ball Z was porn (and maybe they showed him some DBZ doujin).
I'm kinda hoping it was something along the lines of the second scenario, because that would be pretty awesome. I'd have mad respect for whoever pulled it off. But I think the first scenario is much more likely.

I do hope it's the second, though lately it seems like politicians don't have the ability to acknowledge when they've been trolled and he could very well dig in. I could very easily see the first scenario happening, especially since DBZ could easily get roped into the conversation simply by being prominent. Back when I was in high school, I let a friend borrow a Rurouni Kenshin DVD and as I was handing it to her, the teacher asked if it was hentai. We both quickly said no, but I still don't know for sure if he knew the difference or had just had heard the term and saw the artwork on the disc and didn't know what he was talking about.
As humorous as I find it that he's getting spammed with actual hentai now, I do worry that it amounts to handing him examples to hold up as proof of his ridiculous claims.

True. Also, from a practical standpoint, there are anime/manga that are kiddy porn or darn close to it content wise. So, the reactions of the a person like this politician is not exactly uncalled for.
