Well, his artwork is pretty good, but unless his ero-manga have really good stories, I don't get why he'd want to do that over making something else. It's not like he can't just make a great story with some sex scenes in it. Berserk does it. Among many others.
His statement about his skills lacking was interesting. If that means that he doesn't think his own story Ajin, is any good, that doesn't really bode all that well for the anime adaptation of it.

The story in Ajin took a dive when the original writer Miura Tsuina left the series, after that the artist took over as story writer it became a bit more shonen-ish action series rather than a horror mystery Seinen series when it first started.

Well, this is quite a turn-around. I'm curious what his ero-manga are/ will be about.

I think he is more referring to his time efficiency. since he made it sound like he got much more work on aijn and that pushed out the other projects he wanted to.
If he wants to do lolicon manga he could of course do something like dance in the vampire bund... that said he probably wants to do something less tame.....
Honestly let him work it out for a while and he will probably go back to doing a much more mainstream manga again.

Why is that supposed to be a bad thing? A majority of Mangaka start out as Ero-Mangaka it helps them to hone their craft and make a living. It can be like a second job for them and a lot of Mangaka when drawing ero comics usually have an aliases.

H-manga is rarely ever a long extended series, and author's books are usually a bunch of "one-shot" stories, which gives an author a lot more freedom to do what he wants versus a long running story that has to have constant editor and publisher input.

The change from ero to horror or back to ero doesn't seem that much of a stretch. A lot of ero fiction ends up putting people in horror like situations and Stockholm syndrome relationships.

just see ohgreat, an added advantage of manga authors doing ero on the side is that they pour all their desires in that one which allows them to keep theri regular magna more "clean".

That's interesting. He's a good artist from what I've gotten out of Ajin. I never knew he was a ero-manga artist.
Well, I wish him all the luck going back to what he originally starting doing.

Wow, I had no idea about the author switch. That makes a bit more sense. Any idea why the original author left?

I suppose that makes sense, though he could independently publish a non-ero story and have just as much freedom, this is more about him getting away from Ajin specifically, it seems. If he is able to make enough money through ero-manga and it's more creatively fulfilling for him, then more power to him!

Cool, good to know. This reminds me that Food War! Shokugeki no Soma manga artist creates Hentai/Ero-Manga.
