Excuse me. BATTLE PROGRAMMER SHIRASE is not on this list.
Please correct and resubmit.

Was gonna say. Anyone who can out-hack a super-computer ON HIS CELLPHONE, IN BINARY should be on this list.

In 2003, when Cellphones were just phones!

For all the anime I've watched the only hacker I could think of was Akira from Valvrave so glad she's on the list.

As for worst anime of the year. Only 2 contenders for me out of all the shows I've seen this year, Ai Mai Mi and Kill La Kill. I laughed twice while watching Ai Mai Mi so my vote goes to Kill La Kill which so far has yet to have any redeemable qualities. Actually that's a lie, the girl who fights with music was good for a time.

If Kill la Kill has no redeeming qualities how in the world did you even get to the fight with Nonon?

Yeah, and I have to think that OP hasn't seen truly bad anime. There's far more odious things out there than Gurren Lagann - Fashion Edition.

Well 20 or so minutes per week isn't that painful to get through. That fight I had hope for since I adore characters who fight with music but it let me down. I don't drop a series because I want closure and I always hold hope that a series will come good.

I think you missed Oreimo 2, Infinite Stratos 2, and the massive waste of potential that was Coppelion, then.

Never seen the first IS season so haven't seen S2. I loved Oreimo S2 right up until the cop out ending which infuriated me, but that alone does not ruin all that came before (well not completely). As for Coppelion, started off hit and miss but the second half was fantastic.

Wait, you didn't just describe the second half of Coppelion as "fantastic" did you?

Not "fantastically ridiculous" or "fantastically hilarious" or "fantastically terrible" just...fantastic?

Really? And you think Kill la Kill has no redeeming features?

The worst show of the year? Voting for Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai! without a second thought. This show is just outright porn. Karuta gets Chihayafuru, Go gets Hikaru no Go, Football gets Giant Killing, Shougi gets Shion no OU. And then wresling gets to do with this vapid excuse of a show.

So watch Tiger Mask, Metal Fighter Miku, Airmaster, and Kinnikuman. I didn't really enjoy the show either, mostly because of the lack of nudity and nip slips where they should have taken the opportunity every single time.

Recency bias is showing really, really hard in people's "worst of the year" selections.

Sekatsuyo wasn't even the worst of the season.

Yes I thought the second half of Coppelion was fantastic. A tad slow in places and a couple of moments that didn't quite fit but they're the only negative aspects I see in the second half.

My vote goes to Amensia as the worst series of 2013. Terrible heroine who fails at just existing and had zero character development, too many arcs that didn't make a cohesive story, and the ending was godawful and useless. The whole series made me rage until the the very end.

I think he/she did, thats how opinions tend to work.

It also happens to be one I agree with. Aoi/No-sense for best bromance of 2013.

OT : My vote for the worst anime of 2013 goes to Aku no Hana.

That's a very appropriate choice. I'm almost disappointed that I dropped the show before the epically and hilariously bad cage episode.

All I can think of for worst show is Orimo 2, I've seen a few other bad shows but this one made me want to forget I even bothered with the series to begin with.
