Coming from someone who is not a fan, it wasn't cringey to watch at all. If I didn't know better I'd think it was from Lord of the Rings. I also think the ending was McKellen feigning stoicness in a humorous way, but I could be wrong.

Out of all the things I expected to see today, this was pretty close to the bottom of the list. It was slightly cringey, but still sounded pretty awesome in Ian McKellan's voice regardless, oddly enough.

McKellen is a great actor and he recited that incantation from Fate very well and on his first try too although my favorite quote from him will always be YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!! you just can't beat it.

I was definitely different hearing ian Mckellen read it at for a bit i felt like he was taking it seriously but towards the end it was clear he was so lost and alot of posters are saying that either that that line is still badass my fav from fate stay night unlimited bladeworks i was even on my own wanted to memorize that perticular incantation as archer's voice actor did it so well he definitely has the chops
