Lupin has had various English dub casts throughout the years, so calling this one the "original" voice cast is a little much. It's certainly my preferred Lupin cast, but Funimation had their own cast for several TV specials and movies, Animaze dubbed Castle of Cagliostro (which wasn't even its first dub), and you also had the dubs for stuff like Bye Bye Lady Liberty and The Fuma Conspiracy that were also completely different, and all of those predated this cast by years. |

I kinda joked before that this should have a full New York cast like Viz's Mazinger Z Infinity dub since this was guaranteed to go to NYAV & New York never had a Lupin dub but this is fine casting since with the addition of the current main Lupin cast in LA, NY gets their first dub with the VAs cast as this movie's new characters.
Here's to hoping it gets a steelbook LE and that it gets a wide release like Promare did. |
