Oh thats been somewhat well known for a while. I think people first noticed her at the Strong World premiere in the states, and she's been at every movie premiere ever since.

The only thing that would worry me is the horrifying CGI monstrosity that Chopper would end up being if they got that far

I'm really shocked at this. Jamie Lee Curtis is going to have a role in the live action "One Piece" series. She goes from Laurie Strode in "Halloween" to playing Kureha in this. I don't know how the Japanese are going feel about it but I'm just amazed she's actually going to do something like this. I have no other words for this other than WOW!!!!!!!!!!

I highly doubt this casting will happen probably can't afford her pay rate.

If the show lasts that long, given the budget they keep bragging about, they might be able to.

I'm sort of mixed about this. While she would fit the part perfectly, it's a bad sign when Hollywood stars want to be a part of a project. The show usually gets adjusted to suit the actors rather than being faithful to the source material. And too often the actors have no familiarity with the source material and are doing it just to boost their careers.
