I forgot where it was published or maybe it was posted on a forum...but supposedly Steam helped curbed at least some PC gaming piracy in Russia because it was priced well, easy to use and safe compared to the piracy route. That's why I feel if IP holders give fans a good, competitively priced, legal alternative that's not encumbered would help a little to lessen piracy.
WTF? I watched the first minute of that...just WTF. |

Given the subject at hand, perhaps a poor choice of phrase? |

Yeah, whatever.
First of all, my proclivities are my proclivities. Funny how lolicon, which is damn near child porn, is treated as "okay" by most here, but this is somehow "f*cked up." Second, I've been busting my ass for 2 f*cking years to distance myself from that stuff. I'm deeply tired and sick of it being brought up every few months, and I find it extremely rude and blatantly slanderous that people STILL use that video against me. If this continues I don't know what I'm going to do, but I'm gonna do SOMETHING. |

I have a few different usernames, yes. I've only been using them for the last 3 months, however.

Diaper is a new one on me. But, it's only "weird" because it's uncommon.
I don't see why you feel the need to distance yourself from your own sincere paraphilias. One will argue that "it's not 'normal', because his fetish involves a non-human object". True. But, that includes having a "preference" for blond hair (it's intrinsically the hair that arouses you) or the quite common fat fetishes (in this case, it's the massive accumulation of adipose tissue). If a diaper fetish is "omigawd ewww weird!!!", then so is every other sexual preference that involves non-living material attached to another human (i.e. leather, high heels, lingerie). |

Honestly people, it's almost exactly the same as the panty fetish which is near ubiquitous in anime fandom. And in ecchi anime themselves.

How about we just don't talk about it? That'd be good. Let's not talk about it.

Yeah.
Let's do what the Z-man said. But if anyone feels the need to argue about in PM's with me, I'm game. |

Those are two different things. The infamous Star Wars Holiday Special is a great example of when the public should take control of a publicly-released work and ignore how the original creator wants (or doesn't want) it copied and distributed. Anyone assuming ownership rights over any content sounds like a scary thing, but that's much of why we like YouTube. The people who pay for things, regardless of when, should be on the same side of this debate. Freeloading is the part that is causing financial problems. |

which brings me to another thing i have been wanting to ask for quite some time. Do you or anyone have you have heard of live streaming?? people can stream directly from their computer showing off games, doing web-shows etc. Now here is a huge grey-area with some court cases pending but it is relevant to this case. Some one like me doesn't have many irl friends that like anime or want to watch any series with me, so what if I do a live stream of my legal DVD purchases and chat about it with my friends online. In my sense this is done in private chat/streaming room from my house which is no different from having 10 friends over to watch a rented movie right?? Does this still fall into a huge legality issue or is something I have a right to do with merchandise I own. |
