I love Nintendo very much and I am very thankful for Iwata-san for keeping it alive and successful with his hardwork. Age 55 is still a young age. RIP Iwata-san.

Damn. That's a shame. He was way to young to die. May he rest in peace.

This is definitely not going to process with me until about a few days. RIP Iwata-san, you died way too young.

So sad... It feels like a friend is passing away. I've known him from Nintendo since I was really young.

Dark time comes to the Nintendo... but I'm sure that they have a good and not obsessed by today greed of game industry man to sit on the head of company, and continue the Nintendo way of gaming that Yamauchi-san and Iwata-san did.

Iwata had done some strategy mistakes (but it's not only him done that kind of mistakes), but his leadership had Nintendo to stay in the one the top game companies and not break even with the current competition in industry.

So, RIP, Iwata-san. You will not be forgotten.

Such a sad thing to see. A contributor to many of my childhood memories. Nintendo now will be tested to see if they can find someone to replace him and take the company in a direction that makes it as successful as Iwata made it. Thank you Mr. Iwata for all that you've done for Nintendo, the gaming industry, and fans worldwide.

I was sooo hoping that this was somehow a joke or misinformation. But I knew this site wouldn't do that to us.

It's just far too young. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will be missed so much, and Nintendo Directs just won't ever be the same. They'll be sad now. Crying or Very sad
