1. Turn off caps lock. This is a board done in propper English.
2. They read their own board. A lot.

Heck, ever so often (I think every Thursday.), they use card suggestions from the BBS. Too bad it bites.

Yeah, the AS boards are a circle of hell (Malebolge, I think). Although they are funny sometimes. They gave us the phrase, "anime is teh s uck," which is now available on a T-Shirt.

They also offered my favorite criticism of The Big O ever: "i hate big o to its for the bitches."

I want that on the back of a shirt and Roger looking awkward on the front.

I love the fact that they made that shirt mocking their own message boards. I'm still not sure which set is more illiterate, the forum goers at Adult Swim or TechTV.

Those Thursday cards seem to really be hit and miss. I don't remember last week's being as bad as they were this week. Confused

From the FAQ thread on the ToonZone Adult Swim Board:

17) What does "cus anime is teh s uck" mean?
After unveiling its new look, Adult Swim added message boards to its website. Predictably, the board was flooded with teenage newbies who loved to talk in HAX0R SP33K and posted barely coherent message. One of these contained the phrase "cus anime is teh s uck!". Williams Street noticed the phrase and used it in a card outlining "why they loved the AS.com boards", and the phrase caught on, at least within WS. The phrase recurs on cards and one or two series on the Sunday lineup is given the honor of being the "s uck" for the week. There are even T-shirts coming out.

In summary: it's just something some AS.com message board user said, WS found it hilarious, and it's become a mini-All Your Base Are Belong To Us. Any questions?

As an aside, internet meme's are an interesting way to see how internet culture passes information from one group to another, as well as how the internet culture evolves.

remember hamster dance? or the stupid laughing racecar? or kikkoman? or miko miko nurse? they're all internet memes that originally started within a specific subgroup and gradually expanded to include a wider audience.

it's also interesting to see which meme's _don't_ leave the groups and pass into general internet knowledge.. 'saitama saitama saitama' anyone? :)
