Episode 3
Time for....a spoiler[date]! I saw this coming from miles away but here we are. Ah but Yamato is so popular. Mei feels overshadowed but it's alright. Aiko feels jealous tbh. You can see it written over her face this episode. It's nice to see more drama as well and a glimpse into Aiko's past. That ending though.. |

First date clothes choice problems...
Having a hot boyfriend caused Mei to feel a bit down. Well, at least he's really nice and supportive ^^ spoiler[Mei was awesome at bowling! Yamato was totally happy about it too. That other girl Aiko was pretty jealous and kinda mean. I don't like her type. Her words really upset Mei.] It's nice to have such a great guy like Yamato who knows how to make her feel better. |

mmh, dunno. It's nice that they explained why the most popular guy in school cares for the outsider girl, but this series is still lacking something to make it really special and emotionally touching ... for now imho My Little Monster is doing a better job. Not looking forward at all to the jealous ex/rival character arc ...

Over in the encyclopedia, thirteen people have, thus far, rated it -- with four ranking it at 11/11 (masterpiece).

i dont see a problem with that. sure, 3 episodes in may be a little premature, but so what?

So, it means their tastes are pretty suspect if they're calling something a masterpiece without having seen a quarter of it. |

I am not saying that I am necessarily judging, but I do reserve the right to roll my eyeballs!

The point is that they're making a judgement without having seen the whole series. It's not about the judgement itself. Maybe the series will be a Masterpiece for them, but how can they say that for sure after having only seen a small portion of it? Faith? Divine Guidance? ESP? Tea leaves? Chicken entrails? I really don't care whether or not they like it. It's about effectively pre-judging more than 75% of the series. But, I suppose there is the "seen some" category, and if they're using that and saying what they've seen so far is "masterpiece" quality, then I guess I don't have a problem with that, but there's no way to tell from the data breakdown. |

The rest of the series could be filled with mindless violence where that jealous chick tries to out the main girl, but instead ends up falling off a bridge, and nearly dies. And then we find out that the main guy has some sort of choking fetish, and they eventually together strangle the bully in some sort of weird couples thing. The series will eventually climax with our female lead having to out the guy to save her life, learning that she was right all along to be so antisocial.
Man that was dark, I think I just traumatised myself, I think I will stare at the cieling and ponder life for a bit. |

Episode 4
spoiler[Yamato is just too sweet sometimes. Things are kinda getting harder for Tachibana though. At least their relationship is making some progress. Yamato's "friends" are no fun... mostly jealous I guess. Mei seems to be very observant. Really nice episode with some issues resolved.] |

I like the artwork in this despite my loathing of BIG ANIME EYES, which Mei has in spades. But I like how they are coming at things. It's not as good as NANA (hah, I can say that now having watched it) but I think there's a level of truth in a lot of what's being presented with regards to the female characters and that appeals to me.

Episode 4
The necklace of love. It looks like Mei is getting intimidated at the spoiler[restaurant there and not too surprised]. At the same time though, I kinda feel sorry for Aiko despite how she is treating Mei. And nice falcon punch Yamato, you showed him |
