Shomin Sample: 1 / 5. This is my unsufferable thing from this season, it took me like an hour and many rests in the middle to get through. Everything about it was soul-draining for me.
Garo: Crimson Moon: 3,5 / 5. Totally new to Garo. Actually I just thought it was okay, typical presentation with cool Seimei but standard yet not bad monster-of-the-week plot, we'll see how it goes later. The extra +0,5 comes from the color palette, even if the show doesn't have that much animation the colors are just gorgeous, so live and bright and attractive, I just loved looking at everything. For things like this I guess MAPPA is so well-liked.

Dammit now I'm curious, but not enough to watch the episode. Are we talking ara ara, watakushi ... desu wa or both here? This is more important than it has any right to be.

Shomin Sample seemed to be working overtime to come up with new ways to be offensive. While I admit that the ritual of returning the cell phone was funny, Ouran did the whole omg, commoners! bit much, much, much better, with Tamaki's dream and the field trip to Haruhi's house.
I'll pass.

Same here.
Concrete Revolutio and Attack on Titan Junior High would be my top 2. Since you say one, if I had to pick, I guess Concrete since it's got the potential to be something special more than a straight comedy like the AoT spinoff, but I'd like both since I'm now so used to the AoT dub voices and look forward to hearing them having fun with the goofiness. Concrete is also pretty packed within the ep both in events and fast stylish visuals so the dub could make it more fun to follow as well.
I'm curious since I don't know how many they'll add this time since I'm assuming/hoping they go right into continuing Noragami and Seraph's simuldubs as well.
I guess Heavy Object if they go for a third new show (since Garo seems so unlikely), since it's scifi and might get interesting, especially if it can overcome some of those obvious flaws mentioned in the preview guide.
If they'd gotten it, I wish they had Comet Lucifer since that's the other show I'd like to be able to watch with a simuldub.
Semi-related: So glad to read the news that Sunrise/Bang Zoom will be giving the new Gundam a dub for it's home release. Really enjoyed the first ep.

This new GARO isn't appealing to me as much as the last one did, but German is a tough act to follow. Seimei's pretty great though, and the Japanese imagery in her spells is lovely, so those are points in the show's favor.

As I said in another post earlier this week, for Bryce Papenbrook to reprise his role of Eren in a broadcast dub might be hard, even from a home studio. This is because his daughter was born last month.

Subete ga F ni Naru The art style looks somewhat gritty & grimy, and it adds to the atmosphere quite well, IMO. The plot was a bit on the weak side of things, but since it seems to be a mystery show, I'm willing to give some leeway on "keeping the cards close to the chest," as it were. I also liked the classical music used at the beginning (I forgot piece's name). So far, it looks promising.

Ore ga Ojōsama Gakkō ni "Shomin Sample" Toshite Gets♥Sareta Ken I follow the manga adaptation of the franchise, and as I feared, getting an anime based on the material maybe wasn't the best idea. The premise itself is quite simple: it's basically an SoL show, just one that is set in an over-the-top [High-School] setting, but still an SoL. And the series liked to takes things slow. So much so, that trying to slice it up to 20-minutes weekly chunks might be a disservice.
i like to liken this show's premise to Shokugeki no Sōma's on some level; in this show, there are High-Class Ladies who were sheltered from society, mainly due to "old traditions." In Shokugeki the school has a 1% graduation ratio. Yes, some suspense of disbelief is required here, but after that, I think one can take in the show's attributes a bit more "cleanly."

It's the prelude to Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major. A gorgeous piece of music, but frankly I found it added little to the show, not fitting with the scene and its narration particularly well.
I just finished Shomin Sample, and holy hell is it one of the most aggressively dumb things I've ever seen. It's awe-inspiring, really.

Shomin Sample...
I discover this gem beginning of this year.
It was a surprise that they have a anime adaption because i think this is something that works well in the LN and in the manga but maybe is difficult to work in anime.
Is a very funny gag story, a perfect way to have good laughs after a work day. Is the manga that almost destroyed my laptop after i laugh at a joke and my tea go flying at the laptop, lol.
The tsun-pure Aika.
The perfect ojou-sama Reiko.
The crazy samurai Karen.
The I can't keep my clothes on but I'm a genius Hakua.
The I have a big secret Miyuki (the maid).
The tsun-tsun childhood friend Eri.
Is a cast the will make you laugh, if you like this kind of simple slice-of-life gag anime.

(Part one is on page 3) This season again reconfirmed that deteriorating creators/one hit wonder only decay over time, that Noitamina´s lofty goals are only rarely met and that One-Punch(line) Man reigns supreme even if i consider his franchise to just be a better put together DBZ clone with a less engaging lead. On to the winners:
Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans is another take on the setup of Wing (meh but the remake manga is better) and 00 (2 good seasons and a miserable death thereafter). The somewhat predictable pilot was fine and well produced but we already have a slightly problematic female lead as Sunrise is as Sunrise does. I actually liked the first few episodes of Destiny, Reco or even Seed and none of these were good shows in the end so i have to withhold final judgment. I know enough about Gundam to correct it´s Wikia so i am more than ready to have the franchise´s first good TV show on the air since March 2009 and thus wish this anime to succeed the most this season. The proposed length of 25 eps. is a good start and there is always The Origin and the stellar manga line to keep this Newtype going. 7,5?/10
Lupin The Third I said all i have to say by described the show as the 2nd best thing that happened to the franchise in 15 years. The specials fell completely apart after 2002´s Episode 0 and movie 2, 4, 5 and 7 are the good ones. I am also tired of the assessment that Koike´s other Lupin is too "edgy" as the character´s original incarnation (or Bond for that matter) used to be a bit of a rapist. The later Italian episodes showed a slight seinen edge and i don´t get the need for 2 continuities but both have my blessing. (The rap fits the show´s tone better than the Japanese OP btw.) 7,5/10
Osomatsu-san None had it on their radar and it´s destined to dance on without an audience but what a dance it was! I greatly enjoyed the middle portion´s garish colors, bro on bro incest and tiny dicks but it were the black and white sequences that got me intrigued as these were a throwback to decade that never truly existed as 60s anime/manga aren´t quite like it. This sequel feels like a less sexual follow up to Ping-Pong Club if anything and i assumed that the year´s chance to get a good comedy show was used up by (the slightly rushed) Ore Monogatari!! but here we are. The "boys" even ended up being at least in their mid 20s yet their voices sound older than mine. Diversity at last? Let´s taste the Rainbow! 8,5/10
Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen I said that Key´s only good porn to anime adaptation was Air but the original run (only) of Angel Beats! was good too. It wasn´t based on porn though and is a convoluted multi-media franchise just like this anime. The production values were pleasing but most viewers were left confused by the continuity/setting so let me explian. The anime is based on a Japan only RPG/VN from last month (!) that serves as a direct sequel to the RPG/Eroge on which the first anime was based. It also gives a definitive ending to the first narrative that goes in a bittersweet + harem direction. Hm. The polygamy angle fits the original´s rural setting and deity-esque protagonist for once and i will react to the rest when elements will start to show up. The show may become daunting to new viewers soon so don´t start here and Leaf´s other adaptation Tears to Tiara is to be skipped. 8/10
I ain´t a big fan of 2015´s anime offerings but it was already incapable of being the decade´s worst even if this somewhat redemptive season hadn´t happened. It did though and my biggest problem is again that all interesting shows ended up being sequels/adaptations but Osomatsu-san is certainly something out of the left field. The year´s highly scientific Wiki counts 156 entries which is down from last year´s explosion but less is more and at least 1/3 of the fat needs to go as none can supports so much vapid content. You better break out before you blackout!
All my ongoing anime ended but Gravity Falls, Rick and Morty, Star Wars Rebels, Steven Universe, The Simpsons (i decided in the 90s to watch em´all so i can´t stop the torture), South Park, Teen Titans Go! and a lot of the life action US comics adaptations are not to be missed. See you next season cowboy. Sayonara!

From one Garo review...
" but he's genuinely cute instead of annoying"
Does the "genuinely" modifier apply when something is extremely subjective?
Because, I mean, I, for one, found his character so nerve-gratingly annoying that I honestly considered dropping the show mid-episode for that reason alone, and I've been an avid Garo fan for years.

Heavy Object's second episode was pretty great, and a lot slower-paced than I expected. You really got to see the s*** hit the fan as the sheltered soldiers learned about war.

I would love to see Asterisk War, Kishi, and Concrete receive broadcast dubs since those are probably the 3 I wanted to see most this season.

Ah. Then maybe they'll need to wait. That'd be fine, I wouldn't necessarily mind them taking their time with it.
