Episode 1

Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf Boobies. Yeah, very different vibe than the elf coming to Japan title we got in the winter. Not sold yet, but the fact that the episodes are only half the regular length is a bonus. I'll have to see what the other characters are like before making a final decision. I'm sure Boobies McBoobieselfenstein will make quite an impression at school.

Not a show for me since I need an anime to have more than just fanservice. It ranks high on the Blood scale though.

No, it really doesn't. Do you bother reading any of my posts about fan service? Like the one where I asked if I'm such a fan service fan why did I drop last season's Elf and her Kitten show and that ninja in the skintight suit one?

That is the thing, you have claimed to be enlightened before and to only watch quality yet stuck around for a few shall we say very much not quality shows. At this point I think you are a closeted fan service enthusiast.

Plus, I know those elves have you hooked.

Jokes aside though, it is good to see more half length anime, for some shows that just works better.

In the not too distant past there used to be a fair amount of shorter length titles but then they dried up for whatever reason.

The idea of a isekai hero being followed home by a stalker has some comedic potential, and I might consider this if the MC had achieved his growth spurt, and if they'd either give the dark elf a bikini or take away those annoying spotlights and just let it all hang out. I can handle some discreet wisps of steam in a hot tub, or the occasional errant stream of light through a window, but it's kind of distracting when one third of an anime looks like somebody went over it with an eraser.

well you will need to ready the original story to get a full gasp of the relationship between bell & hinata! and i mean by you will need to read both its safe for work manga and especially its the R18 hentai doujins from where the series is originally from!

though to be honest i was kinda surprise yandere dark elf even got a safe for work slice of life type anime adaptation at all considering that the most popular online web manga series that converted from an R18 series to a safe for work series is the Imazumi's Place Became A Gal Hangout Spot For Some Reason by Nori5ou with its DEEP spinoff series!

Anyone else noticed that this series seems to be taking place in the same universe as Gushing Over Magical Girls?

As evidence, consider the following shot from episode 7:

i also noticed that as well.

and if it was not for the fact that gushing over magical girls was done by a different author and not done by yandere elf's author nakano sora, i would have assumed that there was a connection between gushing & this series!

Yeah, there's no production staff cross-over at all, either, which makes this even weirder. Feels too identical to be just an homage, so I'm curious about the story behind this.
