Otakon Hosts Voice Actor Ryōta Takeuchi, Maho Film Animation Producer Yūki Mukai

Takeuchi's roles include Elias in The Ancient Magus' Bride, Darui in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Wakatoshi Ushijima in Haikyu!!, Jack in Ultraman, Kamo Serizawa in Blue Miburo, Adalbert von Fahrenheit in Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These, Charlotte Bavarois in One Piece, Kenji Tsuragamae in My Hero Academia, Thomas in Attack on Titan, Ren in DRAMAtical Murder, and the titular character of Heroman.
Mukai was an animation producer for In the Land of Leadale, I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History, and I'm Standing on 1,000,000 Lives., among others.
Otakon 2025 is scheduled for August 8-10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The event will also host voice actors Nobutoshi Canna, Ryōko Shiraishi, Ayana Taketatsu, Kanna Nakamura, and Taishi Murta; manga artists Chika Mizube, Minoji Kurata, and Sai Naekawa; manga editor Takumi Kamemaru; illustrator CHRIS; character designer and animation director Hidenori Matsubara; author and composer Taketeru Sunamori; J-pop singer MindaRyn; A-1 Pictures' director Shōtarō Kitamura and production manager Yūtarō Itō; and the creative team behind the Too Many Losing Heroines! light novels.
Last year's event took place in August 2024 and reached 46,000 attendants, setting a new record.
