From Bookwalker; (trl. deepl)
Quote:
The strongest hero who outperforms cheats through hard work has arrived!

In a world where "occupation" and "skill" given at the age of 10 determine one's life, Arel, a boy with the strongest parents, is branded as "unemployed" .......

Even if you don't have a job and skills, you can make an effort. With this in mind, Arel becomes the strongest hero, surpassing even the cheats with his stoic efforts and muscle training!

That's the official synopsis? Kind of sounds like its demonizing luck and (natural) skill.

It's more or less a combination of the subgenres "Despite being supposedly powerless this person is actually OP!" and "This person is outlandishly OP in a way that makes everyone around him do a tsukkomi!". (On the plus side, his straight-faced boke works well with the tsundere redhead love interest.)

The MC, whose parents are the world's best magician and best swordsmaster respectively, discovers he has no skills at his appraisal ceremony. To the world this means he will be a hopeless bum because you can't do anything if you don't have skills. He says 'screw that' and decides to be better than both of his parents in their respective fields and prove that hard work can trump skills.

It is honestly a decent premise, but I found the manga pretty bad in execution. Once he is done with one field he goes on to the next and it is a complete reset; the old characters vanish and new ones come in. On to the next and the same thing happens, and again and again. It's kind of like how in Pokemon Ash would head off to every new region on his own with only Pikachu, leaving everyone else behind. Except instead of having 3-4 years to get acquainted with the new cast before the next reset it will be 3-4 episodes.

Not very interesting after the first arc when it keeps happening.
