Nintendo's New 3DS Browser Comes With Content Filter
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The recently announced new Nintendo 3DS model comes with a browser content filter. Users must pay a one-time 30 yen (about US$0.29) fee with connected credit card information to remove the content restriction. The feature is intended as a parental control.
Nintendo implemented a similar feature on its Wii U console. The company charges a US$.50 fee to create a Nintendo Network ID for players under the age of 13.
The new Nintendo 3DS models will be available in Japan on October 11.
