posted on by Daryl Lee Hale

According to online retailer Amazon's listing, North American anime distributor Discotek Media has delayed its Blu-ray release of Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro until June 23. The release was previously slated to ship on April 28.

Online retailer Right Stuf is offering a Collector's Edition of the Blu-ray. The Right Stuf website also lists a June 23 release date.

Discotek Media delayed the DVD release of Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro - The 35th Anniversary Edition by two weeks. The release shipped January 6 and was originally slated for December 23, 2014.

The company announced last March its plans to release Hayao Miyazaki's first feature film on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. Both releases include both English dubs, the original intro, and the Japanese audio track with English subtitles. The remaster of the 1979 film premiered in Japan last May.

Streamline Pictures originally released the film on VHS and Laserdisc in the U.S. in the 1990s. Manga Entertainment then re-dubbed the film and released it on DVD in 2000 and again in 2006.
