Kirimi-chan is Takuya Eguchi's Latest Laughably Bad Doodle

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Voice actor Takuya Eguchi is no stranger to silly stunts on Twitter. He, along with his peers Kenjiro Tsuda and Tetsuya Kakihara posted series of "promotional" pictures that alluded to a more than friendly relationship between the actors.

He also fancies himself as a bit of an artist, drawing Sanrio's salmon idol mascot Kirimi-chan. It was first revealed that Eguchi was a fan when he, Tsubasa Yonaga (Kirimi-chan's voice actor), and Ryōhei Kimura got together in August. The three voice actors collectively form Trignal and the mascot showed up to cheer them on. Eguchi showed his gratitude by drawing a portrait for Kirimi-chan.

Well, that's certainly a unique interpretation. Hey, maybe it was really cold that day and Eguchi didn't feel well? Fans looked into his Twitter pictures for more evidence and they found this doodle he shared to mark The Year of the Sheep.

Well, at least its wool looks fluffy. What about Christmas?

That sure is a reindeer.

Remember when those peekaboo turtlenecks became a huge hit in Japan? Everyone was drawing their favorite anime girls in ribbed turtlenecks with cut-outs. Eguchi is no exception. Here's a cat in a turtleneck.

This one is Yo-kai Watch's Jibanyan followed by Pikachu and My Melody.

These character mascots look a little unsettled. Here's Eguchi's rendition of a "super cute" dog.

Oh wait, he forgot the hair.

Nailed it.
