Live-Action Cowboy Bebop Cast Currently Prepping in New Zealand

The NZ Herald reported on Wednesday that the live-action Cowboy Bebop cast is currently on site in New Zealand working on the Netflix series. John Cho was spotted with stuntman Tristan Liu and actor Mustafa Shakir at a local pub.
The New Zealand-based stunt coordinator Allan Poppleton of Cunning Stunts shared a video of the series' cast and crew training for the sci-fi action series. The post reads: "Finishing up our Boot Camp today....!!! 3...2...1...Let's JAM....!!!! #cowboybebop #stunts #movielife"
Netflix's 10-episode series stars John Cho as Spike, Mustafa Shakir as Jet, Daniella Pineda as Faye, Elena Satine as Julia, and Alex Hassell as Vicious.

The series is a co-production between Netflix and Tomorrow Studios, with Netflix handling physical production. Tomorrow Studios is a partnership between producer Marty Adelstein (Prison Break, Teen Wolf, producer for the live-action One Piece project) and ITV Studios. Shinichiro Watanabe, the original anime's director, is serving as consultant for the project. Andre Nemec, Josh Appelbaum, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio are credited as showrunners and executive producers.
