Gag Artist Man-gatarō Draws Popular Voice Actors for JRA Collaboration

Manga creator Man-gatarō's (Gatarō Man) has been busy creating parodies for live-action series like Terrace House and "wrapping up" his Hoshi no Ōji-sama manga on the Shonen Jump+ website.

It turns out that Man-gatarō's Terrace House and Japan Racing Association collaboration goes beyond a visual illustration and has enlisted the assistance of popular voice actors, all drawn in Man-gatarō's signature style. The project's "cast" includes Tomokazu Sugita (Gintama, Golden Kamuy), Yūichi Nakamura (Dr. Stone, Fruits Basket), Junichi Suwabe (My Hero Academia, Yuri!!! on Ice), Ayana Taketatsu (Sword Art Online, Date A Live), Aoi Yūki (Madoka Magica, My Hero Academia), Yukari Tamura (Steins;Gate, Re:Zero), and Subaru Kimura (Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, Penguindrum).

Sugita commented in his official "Terrace Horse" profile that he was happy to be drawn by Man-gatarō and that he hoped to be killed by Babā (Old Woman) character from the Hoshi no Ōji-sama manga.

The "Terrace Horse" site includes a five chapter long manga and comes with voiced lines of dialogue. Sho Kikka is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, Shuka Miyako is voiced by Ayana Taketatsu, JC is voiced by Yūichi Nakamura, Eriza Besu is voiced by Aoi Yūki, Senroku Mairu is voiced by Junichi Suwabe, Airu Juvena is voiced by Yukari Tamura, and the old lady is voiced by Subaru Kimura. The readers can choose to read through the point of view of a male or female protagonist. Depending on the choices that pop up as you read the manga, the story changes significantly.

Man-gatarō's Chinyūki ~Tarō to Yukai na Nakama-tachi~ manga received a four-episode OVA adaptation in 2009 and a live-action film in 2016.
