Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions, Legend of Zelda Symphony Concerts Head to San Diego

Both concerts will be held in July

Nintendo's “Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses” and "Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions" concert series are both coming to San Diego in July. The San Diego Symphony will participate in the Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions as part of its Summer Pops line-up on Thursday, July 9.

The concert will feature musical arrangements and timed visuals from the Pokémon video games, including:

  • Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow
  • Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal
  • Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald
  • Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum
  • Pokémon Black and White
  • Pokémon X and Y

Concerts were previously held in in Washington DC's Warner Theater on August 15 and in Philadelphia's Mann Center for the Performing Arts on September 19. The Washington DC show sold out and additional concerts were added to meet demand. The Pokémon concert is heading to Baltimore on May 1.

The "Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses" concert will be held on July 11. Tickets are currently on sale.

The concerts will feature music from different Zelda games, including music from the Nintendo 3DS remake of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Nintendo announced "The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Orchestra Concert" in 2011, and the first performances occurred in Tokyo in October 2011. The “Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses” concert series began touring in North America in the fall of 2012, and the "Second Quest" concert began touring in the summer of 2013.
