Blood-C: The Last Mind Stage Play Unveils Cast in Costume

The official website for Blood-C: The Last Mind, this year's Blood-C stage play, unveiled the first round of the play's cast members in costume on Wednesday:
Kanon Miyahara (High Kick Angels film) as Saya Kisaragi
Keisuke Minami (K stage play's Reishi Munakata) as Fumito Nanahara
Eiji Takigawa (Yowamushi Pedal stage play's Juichi Fukutomi) as Tadayoshi Kisaragi
Asami Yoshikawa (P4U stage play's Elizabeth) as Yūka Amino
The following cast members will play characters original to the stage play:
Mashu Ishiwatari as Yoh
Kaede Aono as Ran
Ryūnosuke Matsumura as Aomaru
Yūki Fujiwara as Toyama
Tatsuya Isaka as Kuroda
Toshihiko Tanaka as Kurenai
Shutaro Oku (Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena stage plays) is directing the play, while Jun'ichi Fujisaku wrote the script. Fujisaku also wrote the scripts for the 2011 television anime. The play will tell a new story linking the timeframes of the television series and film. The play will run at the Setagaya Public Theater from July 2 to 5.
The Blood-C television anime and film project is a collaboration between manga creation team CLAMP and Production I.G. The story revolves around Saya Kisaragi, a kind and clumsy girl. However, at night, Saya becomes a sword-wielding monster-hunter.
Funimation has licensed and released both the television series and film in North America.
