posted on by Karen Ressler
This year's 52nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump will publish the final chapter of Masahiro Hirakata's Best Blue swimming manga on Saturday. The series began on July 13, and Viz Media had published the first three chapters in its digital English edition of Weekly Shonen Jump.
The story follows Takumi Aono, who swims alone on the Ogasawara Islands in Tokyo. He meets Souta Kagura, a former competitive swimmer who invites him to join a swim team in high school.
Hirakata previously published his Shinmai Fukei Kiruko-san (Rookie Policewoman Kiruko-san) manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump, launching it in November 2012, and ending it in May 2013.
In addition, the magazine will announce that Tomohiro Hasegawa (Koi no Cupid Yakenohara Jin) will publish a one-shot titled "Shimatsuya K" in the 53rd issue on November 30.
