Blue Giant, 'your name.,' Shin Godzilla Win Media Arts Awards

The Japanese government's Ministry of Cultural Affairs announced the winners of the 20th Japan Media Arts Festival Awards on Thursday.

The website also listed an English PDF with the 29 Jury Selections in the Manga Division. The list featured 27 Japanese works, including: Gou Tanabe's H.P. Lovecraft's "The Colour Out of Space", Kazuto Tatsuta's Ichi-F (A Worker's Graphic Memoir of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant), Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's Ten no ketsumyaku (Descended from the Emperor), Robico's The precious talk of me and you, Yukinobu Hoshino's Rainman, and more.

Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi's live-action Shin Godzilla film won the Grand Prize in the Entertainment Division, and the Pokémon Go Production Team's (Tatsuo Nomura, representative) Pokémon Go smartphone app won an Excellence Award in the category.
Director of Showa Manga Library Aomushi Yokio Takano also received a Special Achievement award.
