The official website for Hobby Japan's Bikini Warriors franchise announced new cast members, staff members, and release details for the franchise's second original video anime (OVA) project on Friday. The upcoming project casts the following new additions:
In the story, the four adventurers continue on their journey to defeat the demon lord when two new dark bikini warriors appear before them.
The main cast and most of the main staff are returning from the previous television series. However, Shinichi Tatsuta joins Kosuke Murayama in designing the characters. In addition, Atsushi Kanō and Rumi Maruyama are the new director of photography and editor, respectively.
The project will ship on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in Japan on July 27 with two new OVA episodes ("Yūsha niwa Tsune ni Rifujin na Event ga Tsukimatō Mono Desu" or There Are Always Absurd Events Befalling the Adventurers and "Bikini of the Dead") and a "hyper sexy edition" of six more of the 12 episodes that aired on television.
The Bikini Warriors anime adapts Hobby Japan and Megahouse's fantasy figure line of the same name. The television anime, a series of 12 four-minute episodes, premiered in July 2015. Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan。
Funimation describes the anime:

Are you equipped Unsheathe your sword and prepare for battle!
Funimation released the anime on DVD and Blu-ray Disc with an English dub on December 6, 2016.
The first two-episode OVA shipped in Japan on December 7, 2016. Like the upcoming release, the previous release included two new OVA episodes and a "hyper sexy edition" of six of the 12 episodes that aired on TV.
