Anime Expo Chibi Returns for Its Fourth Year to Ontario, California This November 7–9, 2025

SPJA Confirms Additional Event Day, Expanded Footprint, and SPYAIR Exclusive Concert

Ontario, California (November 3, 2025) —
Anime Expo chibi (“axc”) returns for its fourth year, bringing fans an even more vibrant celebration of Japanese pop culture, art, and community. Offering a welcoming and intimate experience for anime lovers — axc is where fans can discover the magic of anime fandom and take their 推し活 (oshikatsu) to the next level.

Organized by The Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA), the three-day convention will welcome fans, creators, cosplayers, and families from November 7–9, 2025, for an unforgettable weekend filled with creativity, connection, and celebration.

Event Highlights

SPYAIR Exclusive Concert – Known for iconic anime themes from BLEACH, Mobile Suit Gundam, Gintama, and Haikyu!!, SPYAIR will take the stage for an exclusive outdoor concert on Saturday, November 8, followed by a panel and autograph session on Sunday, November 9. Their latest hit, “Orange” from HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle, has surpassed 200 million streams worldwide, and fans can expect an electrifying live performance unlike any other.
• Godzilla Experience – Step into a cinematic, post-apocalyptic world featuring themed beverages, vehicles, props, audiovisual effects, exclusive merchandise, and stunning photo ops inspired by the legendary Godzilla universe.
• Live Performances & Panels – From idol showcases and sumo exhibitions to cosplay runways and creative workshops, axc delivers dynamic programming for all fandoms. New this year: two rave events — a Kick-Off Party with We Touch Grass on Friday, and the ultimate Anime Rave After Party with Senpai Squad on Saturday night.
• Expanded Exhibitors & Artist Alley – Explore a curated selection of independent artists and exhibitors spanning the Exhibit Hall, the outdoor Xeno's Trading Post, and 18+ zone at the Ontario Convention Center ballroom. From handmade crafts to exclusive collectibles, there's something for every fan.
• Japanese Food Festival – Enjoy authentic Japanese street eats, comfort dishes, and sweet treats from 19 local restaurants curated in partnership with WeeklyLALALA — plus two new cosplay-themed cafés, inspired by Akihabara's concept cafés, where attendees can interact with costumed servers bringing their favorite anime characters to life.
• Family & All-Ages Zones – Kids 13 and under enter free with a paid adult wristband. Families can enjoy the Chibi Cosplay Runway, a dedicated Parent Zone for rest and relaxation, and late-night programming that includes karaoke, gaming, and interactive food challenges lasting through midnight.
Why This Year Is Special

Building on the incredible momentum from past years, axc 2025 expands beyond the Ontario Convention Center to include the Delta Hotels Ontario Airport, adding new event spaces, programming zones, and special activations.

This year's lineup will feature over 60 industry guests, voice actors, and talents, including Mika Akitaka, renowned mechanical designer and illustrator known for his work on the Mobile Suit Gundam series, and Chiitan, the beloved (and chaotic) fairy otter mascot making surprise appearances throughout the weekend. Additional guests include SungWon Cho, also known as ProZD, and voice of Abby Saja in KPop Demon Hunter, along with Alan Lee, voice of Mystery Saja.

And coming directly from Japan, SPYAIR will light up the Chibi Plaza Stage on Saturday night with an exclusive outdoor concert — marking one of the most anticipated performances in axc history.

“We've put so much thought and care into how we've grown Anime Expo chibi this year,” said Matthew Thomas, SPJA's VP of Operations. “Our attendees, artists, and exhibitors are at the heart of everything we do. Every expansion, every new feature, every collaboration was designed with them in mind. We want this year's event to be a celebration of the community that makes axc possible. As our event mission states, it's where new fans are born, and passionate fans shine.”

Attendees can purchase wristbands now through ShowClix.
