While the films are her first major role in live-action dubbing, Mizuki is not a newbie to voice acting.

Technically, this is the third live-action film she dubbed: She previously dubbed Six in the Japanese dub of "Ultraviolet" and also Agatha in "Constantine".

Hey, I actually knew the Nana Mizuki one! She's also Rebecca in Wild Arms 5, that game with the dystopian setting, trains and deadly tv shows.

BTW if the pyrotechnics used when performing Eternal Blaze ever go wrong she will indeed be the girl on fire.

It sucks that Dan passed away last year.

For those curious about who dubbed Bruno Ganz's role in Downfall:

Daisuke Namikawa as Anakin sounds extremely fitting.

Jouji Nakata as Leonidas should be really fun to hear. I might need to look up the This is Sparta bit with this dub.

Cho as Gollum... Hahaha, god that I need to hear as well.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, baby. :K

I'm certainly looking more towards the summer season, anyway. Between Space Dandy 2, SAO 2, more Log Horizon, Zankyō no Terror... and we haven't even gotten to the meat of the announcements yet.

I find this list very interesting to read, kudo and respect to the Japanese VAs for doing dub on Hollywood films.

Although not movie related, I respect the JPN VAs for not only doing video game (whether JRPGs, or any game from Japan), but they do a good job with dubbing western game too. For example:

Call of Duty Black Ops Japanese dub, now for this I was impressed they got the voice right. They got Kenyu Horiuchi (aka Raiden in Metal Gear Solid) to voice Alex Mason, and they got Rikiya Koyama to voices Wood, Hōchū Ōtsuka voiced Reznov in the dub, and this one will blow your mind, Norio Wakamoto voiced Dragovich for the Japanese dub of the game.

Bioshock Japanese dub, now the Japanese dub really impressed me because it captured the atmosphere closely to the original and the voices match in my opinion. Toshiyuki Morikawa who voiced Sepiroth in Final Fantasy 7 did a splendid job voicing Atlas in the dub of the game. Also I found out that Unshō Ishizuka (famous for voicing Jet Black in Cowboy Bebop) voiced Andrew Ryan for the dub. Also Mie Sonozaki who voiced Gertrud Barkhorn for Strike Witches, and Crimson Viper for Street Fighter 4 voiced Brigitte Tenenbaum for the Japanese dub of the game. Overall, I was impressed with the Japanese dub of Bioshock, I need to get a copy of the Japanese version for my PS3.

Extra note: I found Bioshock: Infinite Japanese VA casts to be very interesting. I give a thumb up to Miyuki Sawashiro for voicing Elizabeth for the dub. I just bought Bioshock Infinite a few weeks ago on PS3, would love it if they can put the Japanese voices as a DLC.

A little fun trivia: Anyone played X-blades?? Rie Kugimiya voiced the main character for the Japanese dub, I wish they included the Japanese dub for the US release despite the game being made in Russia and the Japanese voice seem to fit the anime-esque environment much better then the Russian and English dub.

Again, kudo to this list and much respect to the Japanese VAs for doing dub over of American stuff, very interesting to hear.

Yeah I agreed with the comment made on the video, Hitler is not yelling in the Japanese dub, sound serious but not yelling in hot blood like in the original.

I voted that I'm most looking forward to Knights of Sidonia, but I might just have the patience to wait 'till Netflix premieres it next season so I can watch it good and legal-like. If the reviews say the CGI sucks, I might just skip it altogether. I'm not a fan of CGI to begin with, and bad CGI...ugh.

This season I'm mostly excited by The World is Still Beautiful and Nanana's Buried treasure. (which *better* get a Crunchyroll stream!)

Other than those three and a couple of sequels, is it just me, or does this season seem incredibly sucky?

Yet another good reason to keep Anakin away from the younglings.

that made me lol, well done

I wanna hear japanese gollum. I was watching japanese dubbed batman and it was kinda cool, especially as the joker cut back on the lip smacking which drove me nuts.

Hard choice on the poll. I chose One Week Friends, but it could have easily been one of three or four more.
