Oh wow. I figured this was just a one and done. What a nice surprise. Hope Funimation gets it again. Really enjoyed their Simuldub.

My feelings exactly! |
As an avid RPG gamer this show is a decent exercise in worldbuilding based on small details rather than large scale geopolitics. It makes a fantasy world feel more lived in, and therefore, real, than what is often shown most of the time in many mediums.

I really liked this show and I wasn’t expecting it to get a second season so I’m really happy for this. I miss the food porn genre in anime. It seems like we haven’t gotten as much of it after Food Wars’ popularity started dying down.

There is an ongoing plot about how and why the restaurant was created. Also some of the seemingly random visitors are connected in "interesting" ways. It is however, handled lightly and you have to pay close attention to notice it.

Well color me happily surprised. I quite enjoyed the first season, and just recently got the first 4 volumes of the manga. It was a nice relaxing slice of life show, and I am a sucker for any anime that has food/cooking as a topic.
